So, Isabel got to see snow for the first time on Wednesday. She just kept staring at it. It should be fun when we have so stuff that sticks and we can pull her around in a the little baby sled we have.
Her outfit today is a fleece one-piece from KO. I wasn't sure if it was jammies or an outfit. We have a green one too. I think we are going to use it as jammies because I like her being in fleece for bedtime and she has pretty much outgrown the sleeping sack -- just too long for them. And a lot of our other jammies are not fleece.
She has on some cute little pink lacy winnie the pooh socks.
Some of her favorite toys now have been linker-doos. She also likes this Discovery Toys Lamb teething toy & rattle. It has a spinning rattle in the center, a soft body, a head that squeaks, and legs she can chew on. And she likes this butterfly maraca (it came with a bunch of other animal/insect instruments, but this one has a different sound she seems to like.) She's not as fond of her bouncy seat anymore. She likes being able to grab toys and stick them in her mouth and those don't do that. Anything she can grab & move she likes, so everything in the picture she likes.
She is not eating as much cereal & veggies/fruits as she was the past 2 weeks. I'm not sure why. She eats about half as much and when she's done, she's REALLY done. She seems to much rather nurse. We're not sure if she has figured out that when she is done eating solids she gets to nurse. She might have, she's a smart one.
No big plans this weekend for Isabel & me. Daddy is going to help grandpa M. paint some rooms in their house, but we're going to stay away because of the paint fumes. It looks like Sunday will be a nice day here, so hopefully we will get in a walk -- but other than that, no real plans. Next week, though, we will go visit Grandma & Grandpa S. and other relatives in WI. Mom has a couple of days off of work, so we are going to take the long car ride and go visiting.
So, she's not a thumb sucker. But she certainly does get the 3 middle fingers in there. Sometimes just one of them; sometimes a combination of two of them, but usually never the pinkie or the thumb.
On Monday, while mommy & Isabel go to our Baby & Me class, daddy is going to a class to get certified in Infant & Child CPR. It lasts too long, otherwise mom would go. Someone has to nurse the baby to sleep and I don't think any of the cats are volunteering.
