Paper Garden

We took a break from real gardening and did some gardening stuff inside. I first had her tell me from memory 10 different fruits & 10 different vegetables, which she did a really good job at. Then I gave her a seed catalog and told her to plant her own garden (cut out pictures & glue them on) in the dirt (brown paper).

This was a good activity to work on memory & naming and then good fine motor skills with the cutting & gluing. She had fun with this simple activity.

Drip-Free Popsicles

This is the easiest recipe ever and they truly are drip-free. Basically, they are frozen jello.
Drip-Free Popsicles

Regular Box of Jello (flavor of your choice)
1 C Boiling Water
1 C orange juice
mashed fruit of your choice

Boil water. Mash fruit (we mashed 6 large strawberries). Stir jello into hot water until dissolved. Add fruit & juice. Pour into popsicle molds.

We ended up needing 2 popsicle molds for this recipe. If you only have one, you could put the rest in ice cube trays or small paper cups (insert popsicle sticks after a couple hours).

I had to try this recipe for myself to make sure that it was indeed was no-drip & was kid-tested & approved.

Piggy Pancakes

I got the idea from this blog called The Mother Load. I thought it was a cute idea and earlier this week when we went to the library they had the book, "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" on display, so I checked it out so we can read it (she thinks it's hilarious) and so that I can make these Piggy Pancakes.
