Monday, July 31st (Rolls Over for the First Time!)

Another Day of Swimming
Mommy & Isabel are taking in a swim. It was overcast, but still hot out. So, a great day to be in the water and not worry so much about the sun bothering your eyes. It was a little windy so there was more waves, but she did just fine. Next summer Isabel & mommy can do the "Tiny Tots" swimming class at the local pool. It is for kids aged 6mo.-3 years. So, next year she'll be over a year old and we can do it.

I'm NOT Fat! I Just Have Chubby Cheeks.

Her cheeks make her look like she is kinda a fat baby, when the truth is that she is pretty long and on the slender side (babies are supposed to get all fat & chubby!) This is a little two-piece that mom picked up at a rummage sale. The tag says 12 mo. but there is no way it could fit a year old kid, unless they were on the small side. She can sometimes be a ham for the camera. Just look at her hamming it up here.

Check Out my Bebepod!

It's an infant seat like a Bumbo. She likes sitting it for a while, but still needs a little help with head control. The seat is supposed to help with trunk control. It is supposed to works with a baby's natural posture and make sitting comfortable and allow them to sit upright rather than in reclined position. It's also supposed to help with colic, I think because the way they sit in it it pushes on their stomach to relieve gas. Almost every time I have put her in here she farts or burps right after getting in there.

SHE ROLLED OVER FOR THE FIRST TIME! From her tummy to her back. She hates being on her tummy so much that she just got mad and pushed herself over. Mom was very excited about all of it and Isabel would just smile and laugh because mom was so excited. She rolled over a couple more times on Tuesday, but she seems to have to get angry at being onher stomach to get rolled over all the way. Otherwise she gets her top half over and doesn't do much with her feet, but once she gets frustrated at still being on her tummy she starts pushing with her legs.
