Baby Sign Language

There is a lot of research out there to support teaching a baby sign language so that they can more easily communicate with you. Around 7 months is when you should start is what I have read. I put a couple of links on the side bars that have a chart you can print off and some video clips.

This website is a great overall site to give you ideas of fun things that you can do with your child ages 0-3. They have a section on baby sign language with pictures and videos. Very neat. They have a nice library of free printables, you just have to sign up for their ezine, but it looks like the website has some issues with the index.

I've also requested some books & a video from the library. This isn't something I need to buy to keep for a long time, because once we learn them we should keep doing them often enough that we do them.

Here is a video dictiontary of signs. And another video of baby sign lanuage.
Here are some other things/charts to print off:
First Signs
Individual Words

See, there are lots of free resources out there to learn baby sign language.
